01Context

An educational VR medical simulation built for HTC Vive and PC VR.

Teaching a procedure in VR means the procedure has to be modelled, not just staged. I led the system design and architecture, the physics-based interaction, the medical workflows underneath it, and the UI and backend around them.

05Modelling the Procedure

The value of a medical simulation is that steps happen in the right order for the right reasons, so the medical workflow is the spine of the architecture rather than a script layered over it. Physics-based interaction lets the trainee handle instruments directly instead of choosing from a menu.

The UI and backend exist to serve that loop, presenting state to the trainee and persisting what happened in a session.
